Frequently Asked Questions
What are your hours?
- We prefer to operate by appointment. Appointments are available Wednesday, Thursday, Friday & Saturday 9am - 3pm. Please book your appointment to have a consulation through this link.
How long is my consultation?
- Appointments are scheduled for 1 hour 15 minutes, in this time you can try on several styles to find your perfect dress.
Do you charge to try on dresses?
- Yes, we have a $45 consultation fee. If you purchase your dress with Bridal House the consulatation fee will come off the final price.
What size gowns are available?
- In store we have sizes 6 - 28 and gowns can be ordered from size 0 -30.
How far in advance do I need to buy my gown?
- Most gowns take 18 - 26 weeks to order. You also need to allow 6-8 weeks for any alterations you may need. Therefore to allow things to run smoothly we recommend ordering around 7-9 months out from your wedding. For those of you who need a dress sooner, we do have a selection of sale gowns, off the rack which can be purchased on the day.
How do I pay for my gown?
- We require a 50% deposit before ordering, with the remaining 50% due within 14 days of the dress arriving in store. We accept Eftpos and Cash. If you are purchasing a sale gown off the rack we require 100% payment and ask that you take the dress with you on the day.
What is the price range for the wedding gowns?
- We have a collection of different gowns, with our more affordable range being priced under $2000.
Does the price include alterations?
- The price of your gown is for the gown only, we have a couple of local dressmakers we can refer you to for alterations.
What is a rush order?
- If your wedding date is sooner than the time we typically need to order the gown, we need to consult with the designer to organise a rush order. This will incur an additional fee.
Can I change or cancel my order once I have purchased my gown?
- Unfortunately due to the complicated process of a made to order gown, an order cannot be cancelled or changed once it has been placed. So please do make the most out of your consultation and be sure of your commitment before making your purchase.
